Know Your Birth
Childbirth is a life-changing experience, it is my goal to allow you to make informed decisions that is best for your family/whanau to allow for the smoothest transition into parenthood. Know Your Birth has midwife-led, engaging, educational and interactive sessions that involve you and your support person.
Course Details
Know your Birth courses are midwife-led, relaxed, engaging and interactive sessions that involve you and your chosen support person. Your course booking will consist of 5 weekly sessions, 6.45pm-8.45pm. Your facilitater is Emma Allen.
Know your birth sessions focus on:
1. Informed consent and Labour and Birth physiology
2. Birth preparation & Medical Interventions
3. Pain Management
4. All things newborns
5. Feeding your baby
We will have a 15 min supper during the session. Night one supper will be catered, we will create a roster of who can bring supper to the following sessions.
Payment needs to be paid for at the time of your booking to secure your spot.
I recommend that you are 24-32 weeks when starting the course weekly sessions.
Please note, if you have already commenced the course, you will not be offered a refund unless you are unable to attend the course due to medical reasons - eg bed rest or premature birth, in which case you will get a partial refund.

Course located at Red Hill Community Centre, in the room upstairs on Tuesday nights.

Located at Pia Event Centre/Indian Hall - 55 Ward Street, Pukekohe, on Monday nights.

Private in-home Session
In-home private sessions are available on request, please email your details to knowyourbirthnz@gmail.com to book a time, once a time is organised, you can provide payment. This 4 hour comprehensive session will be suitable for those by choice, would suit their lifestyle/ time restraints and/or do not want the community aspect of group classes. This comprehensive session will include everything that the night classes cover - informed consent, labour and birth, pain management, interventions, babies and more. Timing of this session will be negotiated. Payment is required prior to session. South Auckland only; ie Manurewa, Papakura, Pukekohe areas.
